This world is a mess!   More than at any other time in my life, I am seeing this to be true.  And yet, I have hope:

These last few weeks have been difficult for me, many I know and many I do not know. Losing loved ones unexpectedly, watching people attack and, in some cases, kill the innocent, hearing of officials not communicating before making life-altering decisions, learning of racist and sometimes downright intolerant behaviour, and individuals demonstrating a lack of grace and patience.  Absurd!

How can we even consider going on?  At times, it feels impossible.

As I began grieving my own losses, I was reading a book called “Storytelling for the 21st Century”.  In it, author and storyteller, Dan Yanishky, says that “…stories can make a difference in the ongoing struggle for social justice, freedom and equality”.

When I read that, I realized this is good news!  More importantly, I recognized the difference story can make in the world right now!

In general, the impotence word is defined in different meanings order viagra that are a lot of causes that affect the sexual power in men.
Stories are a way through.  Through story, we become connected.  We also become informed and aware.   When we are aware, we can make better decisions and have the power to choose to act and even change.  Stories are change agents.

Think about what happened in Paris – if we did not know what happened there, what impact would there have been?   Would there have been an outpouring of love on the people in Paris?  Would there have been the gathering together of leaders of the countries to find a way to fight terrorism together?  Would pianist David Martello have traveled 400 miles by bike pulling his grand piano to pay tribute by song?

Because the story of Paris was told, many people made a difference and are still making a difference.  The world has come together.

I think that is a powerful reason to tell story.  Don’t you?
